“Everyone leaves footprints in your memory, but the Friends that leave footprints in your heart are the ones you will truly remember.” Nicholas Sperling On Thursday, February 24, 2022, I lost a dear friend – Ed Corrigan Ed was a dear friend who’s family’s footprints have been placed in my heart over 45 years as a friend, roommate, fraternity brother, competitor and colleague on various committees over those years. Ed had a way about him- where no matter how busy he was, he could and would make time for you or the cause. When you were hurting or troubled, he comforted you and when you had a problem, he would work with you to find the solution. It was just his way. Ed had a keen and insightful intellect. He could see things that others simply missed and identify the positives and negatives in any situation. He was honest, ethical and had integrity and he was – definitely - no shrinking violet, when someone wanted to step too close to or over the line. When those situations arose, Ed encouraged debate –actually spirited debate- of which he and I had many - whether it was politics or life issues - to determine the facts and understand each other’s opinions – and when the debate was finished – despite any differences, you knew Ed was still – your friend. Ed, you will be missed but your footprints have been placed in our hearts and will always be there. To Kathleen & Paul, Flordeliza & Family, please accept my condolences and prayers.
