Obituary of Evelyn Mae Hennessy

Army Navy Air Force crest Catholic Women's League crest. HENNESSY, Evelyn Peacefully, at Marian Villa (Mount Hope) on Sunday, January 23, 2011, Evelyn Mae (Cartwright) Hennessy, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Jerry (1990). Much loved mother of Carole and John Rawlings; Wayne and Melanie Hennessy. Loved grandmother of Andrew and Anne Marie Rawlings, Janet and Gary Sullivan, Ben and Amy Hennessy, Lucas Hennessy and his friend Lisa Garcia. Dear great-grandmother of Alastair and Lauren Sullivan. Dear friend of Bill Storey. Predeceased by her sister Irene (Clift) Harrington (2009). After Jerry's retirement, Evelyn and Jerry took numerous bus tours across Canada and the U.S. Evelyn was an avid Detroit Tigers baseball fan. She also spent many hours knitting baby blankets. Evelyn was a member of St. Patrick's C.W.L. for over 50 years. Evelyn was a Life Member of the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Canada, Unit 229. The family wish to thank Dr. Susan Patel and all of the exceptional staff and volunteers of Marian Villa 1 for their love and care of mom during her last year. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church, 377 Oakland Avenue on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the charity of your choice. Prayers Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock.
