Obituary of Vittorio Sbrizzi

SBRIZZI, Vittorio (Vic) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vittorio (Vic) Sbrizzi on Wednesday November 11, 2020, at the age of 95. Predeceased by his wife Maria (1979) and his son Peter (2019). Survived by his daughter Doris (Chris) Hagarty. Proud Nonno to his granddaughters Laura and Nicole Hagarty. They were his everything. Immigrating to Canada in his early 20’s working in construction alongside his uncle in Northern Ontario in his first years, gaining employment with Sterling Construction and finally 30 years with Ellis Don Construction, retiring at the age of 65. Vic’s smile could light up a room. He was the ultimate host, who’s door was always open to welcome family and friends. He had a garden that was the envy of all. He seemed to be able to grow things no one else could. Whenever anyone visited, they never left without something from the garden. He will be greatly remembered by family in Canada and Italy as well as the Hagarty family. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Sunday, November 15, 2020 from 2-2:45, 3-3:45, 4-5:00pm. A private family Funeral Service will take place. Interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Due to COVID0-19 restrictions as per the Bereavement Authority of Ontario a limited number of people are able to attend each visitation.
