Obituary of Margaret Louise Furlonger
MARGARET LOUISE FURLONGER (FITZMAURICE)
June 25, 1921 – September 14, 2020.
With the love of her family wrapped around her, Margaret passed peacefully from a wonderful worldly life into the eternal arms of Our Lord. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Jack (1995), parents, Adolphus and Matilda Fitzmaurice (nee Wilde), sister Pat, and wonderful brothers, Mike, Tony and Frank. She is also predeceased by son-in-law Carson Wilmot and daughter-in-law Tessa Barcant. She is survived by an adoring family; son Bob and Maria, their children, Craig and Kira, Crystal and Cavan, Lindsey, Marcela and Pierre, son Rev. David, daughter Mary Jane Wilmot, her children Danielle and Clint, Justine and Sean, son John and Nancy, their daughter Ainsley and Spencer, son Scott and Joyce, their children Meaghan, Mitchell and Miranda. She is also survived by her joyful great grandchildren, Gavin, Reyna, Bronson and Jacob. Many extended family members and dear friends, especially Cloris Ernst will miss her positive energy and good nature. Margaret’s very simple way to live was based on a firm belief and support of family, faith, friends and fun. Although she was very proud to be in her 100th year, she was even more humbled by the opportunity to live every day to the fullest, and that she did. The pandemic provided her a respite at the lake for the past six months that was a lifetime highlight, where we learned more about her and from her at 99 than we could have imagined. Thank you to Cathie and Pat Rio for the fields of daffodils. Special thanks to all the VON Palliative Team for their gentle care, especially Dr. Braava Achtar, our angel Pamela Bartolome, and her dance partner at Chartwell Riverside, Kerri Chatland.
A private family Funeral Mass and burial will be celebrated by her son, Fr. David Furlonger. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice. In keeping with her wishes and in lieu of flowers, she would have asked that you make an extra effort to be kind to someone with her in mind.
