Obituary of Antonette Fotia

FOTIA, Antonia "Antonette" Passed away surrounded by family on Friday, March 20, 2020, Antonia Fotia in her 89th year. Predeceased by husband Paulo Fotia and their infant son. Beloved mother of Frank (Cathy), Paul (Ann) and Luigi. Cherished grandmother of Matthew (Kristine), Luke, David (Karen), Vanessa (Nicholas) and Marco and great-grandmother of Violet, Rosalynd, Theodore and Orlando. Survived by brothers Carmelo (Bruna), Salvatore (Francesca) and Francesco and sisters-in-law Victoria and Maria. Also predeceased by parents Paulo and Mattia, brothers Giuseppe, Giovanni, Domenic and sister Anne. Antonia is also survived by her many special nieces and nephews. Immigrating from Italy in 1958 with her husband and son, they made a new life for themselves. She worked for over 30 years in the dry-cleaning industry as a seamstress. A special thank-you is extended to the staff of 3rd floor Evergreen Wing of McCormick Home and the Palliative Care Team on the 5th floor at LHSC - University Hospital for their compassion and care. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Society of Canada or McCormick Home. Due to the COVID 19 outbreak, a private family interment will take place.
