Alice and Family: Words are inadequate at this sad time but take comfort that Ted was deeply respected and admired as a person, hockey player and coach. Indeed, the hockey community has lost a good friend. I will always treasure the times we shared a story with the telling getting better as we continued. In 2003 we (the London Sports Hall of Fame and the Huff N Puff Seniors League) made Ted a London Hockey's Man of Distinction. I can think of no better way to decribe him. I was honoured to have known him, from the first time I met him in Chatham when he played for Murph Chamberlain. He was a true friend.

Ted Power may arguably be the best Senior hockey player of all times. He was a hero, not only to me, but also to the many aspiring young hockey players in Chatham in the late 1950's. It is my opinion that Ted and several of his teammates would have enjoyed successful N.H.L. careers if the expansion had occurred in their era. His legacy as a person and a player will continue to be a life long inspiration to each of us.

Alice, Kim, Kelly, Karen, Kevin, Kathleen and family, God has chosen another great player for his all star hockey team! Ted was a wonderful man, who lived his life to the fullest, loved his family and taught all of us the importance of a strong family. I am so glad we were able to have the family reunion here in Halifax, where he was born, he so enjoyed his visit here this past summer, and my brother Ted and I so enjoyed spending time with him.
