With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Domenico De Pace in his 94th year. He departed peacefully on April 4, 2024, with his family by his side. Domenico leaves behind his adoring wife of 65 years, Norina, and is lovingly remembered as the devoted father to Bruno (Laura Dal Bo) and JoAnne (Scott Forrest). He was a doting grandfather to Ashley (Kyle Pahapill) and Melissa De Pace (Joey Fournier) and a proud great-grandfather to Carter, Logan, Charlie, and Luke.
Born in Acconia di Curinga, Italy, to the late Bruno and Giovanna De Pace, Domenico was one of ten siblings and is predeceased by his siblings Placido, Giuseppe, Carmelo, Francesco, Teresa and survived by Graziana, Elisabetta, Elia and Antonio. He is also predeceased by his in-laws Vincenzo and Caterina Gallo and survived by his brothers-in-law Sandro Gallo (Loretta) and Albino Gallo (Betsy) and Zia Maria Serratore. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews in Canada and in Italy. His devotion to his family was evident in every aspect of his life, and his absence leaves an irreplaceable void in our hearts. A special thank you to Dr Achtar and the staff at Parkwood Institute in London, for the compassionate care they provided. Friends and family may call at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street in London on Wednesday, April 10, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, prayers will be held at 3pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 345 Lyle Street, in London on Thursday morning, April 11, at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow in Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter's Cemetery.
