Obituary of Frank Desando
With sadness in our hearts, the family of Frank Desando announces his passing on Friday, August 28, 2026. Frank joined the heavens in his 91st year.
Beloved husband of the late Lucrezia Lucy ‘Zina’ Desando (2024). Treasured father to Mary Bourne (Al), Frank Desando, Fred Desando (Isabel) and Lori Martinez (Luis).
Loving grandpa to Melissa Russell (Marc), Malori Boyce (Josh), Alex Desando (Kyle), Sydney Desando (Matt), Jake Desando, Abigail Martinez, Genevive Martinez (Joe), and Antonia Martinez.
Proud great grandfather Samantha and Max Russell.
Predeceased by his parents, Fernado and Maria, his sister the late Maria (the late Frank) Martellotti, and his niece, the late Sue Martellotti, his nephew Fred (Fran) Martellotti , sister-in-law Rosina (the late Lorenzo) Anania.
Loved and remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins in London, Niagara Falls, and Italy.
Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Sunday, August 30 from 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held St. Mary’s Church, 345 Lyle Street, on Monday morning, August 31 at 10 o'clock. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum - St. Peter's Cemetery.
