I have many fond memories of Frankie and his music during his time at University Gates. I especially loved our "Irish Pub" music hour in the lounge, and his sense of humour. One of my favourite memories was dressing him up as a Scotsman for Robbie Burns Day. I am grateful for the time and songs we shared, and The Fields of Athenry will always be a musical memory of Frank. Rest peacefully, dear Frankie.

Grandad was a huge part of my life growing up. I have so many good memories of him throughout my childhood and all of them involve some sort of chaos, like the time when he spontaneously picked up a large piece of candy cane brittle and completely shattered it on Ben's head... for no reason at all. I will never forget the look of bewilderment on my mom's face when she turned around to see the bits of food both all over the kitchen floor and in Ben's hair. Grandad just sat there laughing at everyone's reactions, which then caused everyone else to join in. Cottage trips to Port Stanley would quickly devolve into Grandad, Ben, or I almost drowning in Lake Erie. Not so much because of the waves, but because we would all start splashing and pushing each other like siblings do. I would be remiss if I didn't mention his love for beer as an Irishman as well. Dylan found this out pretty quickly after meeting him; he didn't even have the chance to introduce himself before Grandad shook his empty beer can and volun-told Dylan to go get him another one. And those stories showcase the essence of who Grandad was to me; a chaotic, mischievous, sassy, fun-loving friend. I credit Grandad for my natural musical talent and I will carry that with me in honour of him for the rest of my life.
