Peacefully surrounded by her loving family Elisabetta Giampà (nee Galera) on Thursday, June 4, 2026, passed into heaven to join her loved ones

Predeceased by her husband Tommaso and her sister Giovanna, she leaves her children Franco (Shelly), Maria, Brian, Tina (Brad), Tom (Danielle). Adoring grandmother of Brittany (Ernest), Robert, Karsten (Alyssa), Jacob (Georgia), Kira (Adrien), Caleb, Olivia, and Ben. Proud Bisnonna and true friend of Oaklee May. She is also survived by her siblings Maria (late Sebastiano), Assunta (late Domenico)and Giuseppe (Margaret).

Ma loved to laugh , so much so that one of her uncles would give her money as a little girl for every chuckle. Ma loved her family which brought her great joy. There was no sacrifice she wouldn’t make for them. She was so proud of the journey she and our dad had taken to bring their family to this marvellous country. A farmer at heart, working in the garden was her passion. Later years included many trips with Pa. She loved the adventures, but mostly she loved the beaches and good friends in Mexico.
Ma’s legacy is her family and the ways that they will carry on the traditions of love and sacrifice she bestowed upon them. Grazie mamma!

A thousand thank yous to many individuals who have supported our mother during the last 7 months: Parkwood Hospital Team, University Hospital Neuro Intensive Care, Trauma Unit and Palliative Care Team, McCormick Home staff on MapleGrove, and Draga Trapara at Meaningful Living Home Care. A very special thank you to Tatiana, dear caregiver, for your dedication and attentiveness. We are forever grateful. Your care for our mom knew no bounds. Thank you to all family and friends who have been so supportive.
