It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Grace Paino (Cator) at the age of 64 at University Hospital, Palliative Care, London, Ontario on May 24, 2026.

Loving mother of Lisa (Sean) Prosser and  Alex (Melinda) Cator. Loving sister to Joseph Paino, Frances LaSalle and Frank (Tina) Paino. Proud Nonna to Mila and Max. Grace also leaves behind many much-loved nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by her mother Elizabetta and father Antonio Paino, older sister Angela Paino and niece April Denomme.

Grace battled the complications of Type 1 diabetes since the age of 10, enduring difficult health challenges.  Despite all of her hardships she remained strong and resilient, touching the lives of so many people. 

Her sense of humour brought laughter and joy to a room. In her late teens and early adult years, Grace’s passion for art and poetry filled her days. 

Grace's greatest joy came from her adored grandchildren.

Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday, May 28 from 10:30 am until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon, with a reception to immediately follow.  Cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations to Breakthrough T1D (https://breakthrought1d.ca)  formerly Juvenile Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
