At home, surrounded by his family on Monday, May 11, 2026, Frank Silvestro, in his 92nd year. Loving father of Jim and Marla Silvestro. Proud grandpa of McKenna and Briar Silvestro. Predeceased by his siblings Rose Serratore, Peter, John and Paul Silvestro. Brother-in-law to late Frank Serratore, late Viola and Rosemary Silvestro, Vince and late Heather Cugno. Fun uncle to many cherished nephews, nieces, and their spouses. Former spouse of late Gale (nee Fletcher). Frank passionately loved the grocery business. He started working in it at the age of 10 at his family-owned business, Wellington Fruit Market. Frank was in the produce trade for over 79 years when he retired at 89. Special thanks to his Fresh Co. family at Adelaide and Huron for his last 30 years. Deep gratitude to the palliative care outreach team for their compassion and excellence. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday, May 14 from 2-4 and 6-8 o’clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica, 196 Dufferin Avenue, on Friday morning, May 15 at 10 o’clock. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Blood Services would be appreciated.
