Obituary of Michael Francis Joseph Rockwood

At LHSC Victoria Hospital Palliative Care Unit after a lengthy battle with cancer on April 13, 2026, Michael Francis Rockwood at the age of 79.  Predeceased by his wife Betsy (O'Boyle) (2000), his father Frank and mother Regina.  Loving brother of Julie (Tom Costello), Gary (Mary) Rockwood and Carol (Michael Kloske).  Predeceased by his sister Mary (2022) and brother John (2023).  Michael is survived by his brother in law Rick Post and by several nieces and nephews.  Cremation has taken place and at Michael's request a family celebration will be held at a later date.  His final resting place will be St. Margaret in the Pines Cemetery in Scarborough, Ontario.  The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for the care and compassion provided by the staff, doctors and nurses in the Palliative Care Unit.  

Michael was an avid Blue Jays fan, excellent swimmer and a lover of the beach.  He will be greatly missed by all the people whose lives he touched.
