Obituary of Mary Ellen Koehler

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Mary Ellen announces her passing on Sunday April 12, 2026. Mary Ellen was a beloved daughter of the late Henry Arnold Koehler 1962 and the late Agnes Eleanor Koehler nee Wilson 1968.

She is survived by her loving sister Carol Anne Sarjeant and brother-in-law Robert Burns Sarjeant of Sudbury Ontario Also survived by many dear cousins and good friend Harriet McEachen

Mary Ellen was a lifelong resident of London born on October 25, 1947. She was a quiet gentle soul who never complained at the trials in her life. She was a devoted Roman Catholic and a member of the Legion of Mary at St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica London for approximately five years until her health prevented her.

Mary Ellen loved to play cards, do crossword puzzles, read westerns and watch western movies. You could always ask her anything about family and she could tell. She had a memory like a steel trap. She loved her furry nieces and nephews, coming up to visit and looking after them when her sister and brother-in-law would travel.  Mary Ellen was proud of attaining her RNA. 

Mary Ellen was a resident of Mount Hope’s Marion Villa for just shy of 11 years and the family would like to thank the staff on MV2 floor for all the excellent, loving care they gave her over the years.
