Obituary of Mary Teresa Van Dyk

Van Dyk, Mary Teresa

Peacefully with her son by her side on Sunday, April 5, 2026, Mary Teresa (nee Zubal) Van Dyk, in her 88th year. Dear wife of the late Ken Van Dyk (2017). Loving mother of Troy (2024) and Kent. Beloved grandmother of Spencer, Mitchell (Madison) and Madison (Jordan) and great grandmother of Harper, Penelope and Bowie. Devoted sister of Ann Spearin (late George) and aunt of Kim (Rob) and Derek. Dear mother-in-law of Susan. Predeceased by her parents Pauline and Joseph Zubal (1972) and her two brothers Frank (1976) and Joe (1979) (Margaret). Mary will also be remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families in Canada, South Africa, Scotland, Australia, and UAE. Mary was a past president, and devoted member for over 40 years, of the May Court Club of London. And an avid sports fan, particularly of her beloved London Knights. Mary was a phenomenal cook who, along with Kenny, threw legendary dinner parties and events. The family would like to thank the staff of Dearness Home, especially Maple Place, for the care, warmth and attention Mary received throughout her time there. A Celebration of Life will be held at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Saturday, April 11th from 10am until 12 noon, with words of remembrance at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to May Court Club of London (www.maycourtlondon.ca) would be greatly appreciated
