Obituary of Shelley Brooks

Shelley Ann Brooks (née De Boer) (July 26, 1965- March 8, 2026)

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Shelley Ann Brooks of London, Ontario, on March 8, 2026 at the age of 60.

Beloved wife of Tim of 37 years. Loving and devoted mother to David. Cherished daughter of Diane Van Ry and the late Henry De Boer. Dear sister to Sandra, Marlene, and Elizabeth; sister-in-law to Pam, Nigel and Terry. Loving aunt to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Shelley is also predeceased by her in-laws Don and Mary Lou Brooks.

First and foremost, Shelley was a dedicated mother and wife who treasured every moment with her husband and son. She was the unwavering rock of her family- always very thoughtful, kind and gentle.

After graduating from Strathroy District Collegiate, Shelley attended the University of Western Ontario, earning her BA. From there, she received professional credentials from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA) and an Executive MBA from the Ivey School of Business.

After a successful career in business spanning ten years, Shelley chose to step away from her professional life to devote herself to raising David. She also pursued her love of music and reading, and her interests in homeopathy and gemology. She volunteered actively in her local parish, serving on numerous committees and contributing generously to her church community. Shelley was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith, observing it faithfully with her son and travelling with Tim and David to places of spiritual significance.
