It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Zenaide Maria Machado Amaral Paiva in her 85th year on Sunday Feb 1st at 6:34am. Mom died peacefully at home, surrounded by love. She is now reunited with her husband Daniel Maurico DePaiva.
She was a loving and devoted mother to Leanor Paiva, Rick (Sherry) Paiva, Elsa (Matt) Davis, Carlos (Erin) Paiva, Linda (Richard) Lacourciere and just as loving and devoted Vavo to Melissa Moniz (Dave), Jesse Bain (Shauna), Chloe Paiva (Jesse), Joshua Paiva, Aidan Carson and Finn Paiva. Zenaide is also survived by her loving sister Esmeria Amaral. Predeceased by her parents Maria do Anjos Machado and Jose Soares Amaral.
The family would like to give thanks to London VON and Paramed services with great appreciation for Paramed nurse Nav & PSW Jennifer as well as VON PSWs Richard, Tammy, Ella and Nicole.
Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, Thursday, Feb. 12th from 2pm until the time of the memorial service at 4pm. For those unable to attend, you are encouraged to join family and friends following the service to pay respect and celebrate mom’s life at the home of Elsa and Matt Davis.
