At Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 Sofia (nee Ferreira) Machado, in her 101st year.  Dear wife of the late Alexandre Machado.  Loving mother of Domingos Ferreira (Fernanda), Teresa Correia (Jose), Fatima Costa (Laurindo), Chico (Wanda), Alice Da Costa (Antonio), Leonor, Alipio (Ines) and Eduardo (Sue). Predeceased by her son Domingos (2016) and her grandson Cameron (2020).  Dear sister of Emelia Luis.  Predeceased by her siblings Antero, Joao, Lebano, Americo, Joaquim, Alipio, Lucilia, and Fatima.  Sofia will be missed and fondly remembered by her many grandchidren and great grandchildren, as well as her extended family.

Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Tuesday, February 3 from 11 am until the time of the funeral service at 1 pm. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery.
