Obituary of Paul Tisdelle

Tisdelle, Paul

On Monday, January 12,2026, surrounded by his family, Leo Paul Tisdelle passed peacefully into eternal rest.

Paul was born in Stoney Point on July 5, 1939, the beloved son of Leo and Beatrice (née Durocher). He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his children: Diane (Scott), Carole (Alex), Brian (Denise), and Janice (Rob). Paul is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Geraldine Tisdelle.

Paul shared many wonderful years of marriage with Anne-Marie (née Renaud), raising their four children together. In later years, he found deep companionship and love with his partner, Roberta (Bobbie) Vormittag.

Paul's greatest joy was time spent with his grandchildren: Taylor, Kaitlyn, Lauren, Julia, Tyler, Lexi, Samuel, and Hogan.

Known for his strong work ethic and genuine leadership, Paul spent many years in management before pursuing his entrepreneurial dream in 1979, when he purchased a Tim Hortons franchise in St. Thomas, Ontario. He was always humbled by and deeply grateful for the support of the community, and he took great pride in growing the business throughout the region.

Paul believed in giving back. Over the years, he supported his community by coaching Oakridge Minor Baseball, sponsoring underprivileged children through the Tim Horton Children's Foundation, and supporting Canadian Tire's Jumpstart program to help kids access sports and play. Known fondly as "Mr. Tiz," Paul always led with gratitude, kindness, and generosity.

The Tisdelle family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Highview Residences for their care and support over the years, as well as the palliative care team at University Hospital for their compassion and dedication in Paul's final days.

Family will receive visitors at John T Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street,  Monday, January 19, from 10:00AM to 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the Tisdelle family asks for donations to be made in Paul's honour to Canadian Tires jumpstart program (https://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca) or the Alzheimer Society (www.alzheimer.ca)
