Surrounded by family at LHSC University Hospital, on Thursday, January 1, 2026, Rudy Jansen, in his 79 th year.  Beloved husband of the late Maureen "Moe" Jansen.  Loving Dad of Krista Jansen (Kevin), Greg Jansen, Danielle Stere (Brian), P.J. Sharpe (Adrienne), . Proud and cherished Grandpa of Carter, Blake and Cooper. Dear brother of Wilma DeWal, Jelis (Ann) Jansen, Henry (Betty) Jansen, Danny (Donna) Jansen, Jane (Mike) Zurbrigg, Joyce (Rick) VanVliet, and Corrie (Joe) Fransen.  Predeceased by his siblings Ruth (Joe) Nap, Anna (John) Ryksen Peter (Mae) Jansen, John (Wendy) Jansen, Hotze DeWal, Gary Jansen, Bill Payne and Catherine Kienapple.  Rudy will be fondly remembered by Moe's siblings and their families, Mary Margaret (John)  Jarrell, Patricia (Norm) Damaren, Phil (Barb) Payne, Martha (Mike) Tucker, and Bill (Mary) Kienapple.  

Rudy spent many years working hard, no matter where that was. He started 50+ years ago with Gilvesy Construction then the Walter Fedy Partnership and of course continued working in his retirement years at both Westhaven Golf Course and Clintar. He and Moe enjoyed many years of travel adventures together, as well as many rounds of golf and card games with friends. He will be remembered for his quiet strength and dedication to his family and friends, who always knew he could be counted on. 

Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street,on Thursday, January 8 from 11 o'clock until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon.  Donations to the Intensive Care Unit c/o LHSF.ca or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
