Dr. Trevor Rodmond Lobb
October 1, 1944 – December 21, 2025
Surrounded by his loving wife and children, Dr. Trevor Rodmond Lobb passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2025, following a sudden illness.
Trevor was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his heartbroken wife, Caroline (née Fleetwood); his children Jody (Chris), Michael, Meghan (Dugald), Jennifer (Paul), and Sarah (Andy); and his eleven grandchildren, who adored their “Poppa Treasure.” He will also be lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews, and extended family in Ireland, Alberta, and the Greater Toronto Area.
After graduating from the University of Western Ontario’s Faculty of Medicine in 1969, Trevor devoted forty-five years to patient care as an anaesthetist at London Health Sciences Centre. In recognition of his commitment to teaching and mentorship, he was appointed Professor Emeritus, reflecting the deep respect he earned from students, colleagues, and patients alike. Known for his kindness, calming presence, and exceptional skill, Trevor affectionately referred to himself as a “snooze-ologist” and cared for every patient with compassion, ensuring they felt safe, supported, and at ease.
Following his retirement in 2014, Trevor enthusiastically embraced his “second career” as an amateur golfer. A familiar and beloved presence at RiverBend Golf Course, he celebrated many achievements, including winning the inaugural W.A.B.L. Cup and was the proud captain of the Grip It and Rip It team. Supported for over twenty-five years by a close and meaningful fellowship, Trevor lived a life grounded in purpose, joy and gratitude. He took nothing for granted and often said he was the luckiest man alive.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the exceptional teams in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit at University Hospital. The compassion, professionalism, and care shown to Trevor and his family were deeply appreciated.
