Obituary of Maria Ester DeSumma

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria De Summa on Friday, October 17, 2025 at McCormick Home in London, at the age of 95.  Beloved wife of the late George De Summa.  Loving mother of Sebastian (Julie), John (Heidi) and Becky (Rocco).  Adored nonna of Jordan ( Ivanna), Peter (Juane), Sarah and George.  Cherished bisnonna of Sebastian.  Will be missed by her siblings Bettina (Ralph), Giovannina (Delesio), Quintino (Eleanor) and brother-in-law Tony De Summa (Bettina). Predeceased by her parents Giovan Baptista Lo Russo and Maria Grazia Lo Russo, and siblings Elia (Diamante), Victorio (Sarah), Letizia (Elia), Esterina (Sandro) and sister-in-law Concetta Perugino (Antonio) and brother-in-law Elia De Summa (Tita).  She will also be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.  

Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 2:30pm to 6:00pm.  Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street, on Monday, October 20, 2025 at 10:00am.  Entombment to follow at Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter's Cemetery.  In Lieu of flowers donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
