David Paul Johnston passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025, in his 79th year, after many years of courageously living with cancer. Beloved husband of 50 years of Dora (nee Mullen). Cherished father of son Paul, daughter Carolyn (Christopher) Miranda and son Michael (Susan) Johnston. Dearly missed by his grand-daughters Fiona and Emily Johnston and Evangeline Miranda. Dear brother-in-law of Jean (Peter) Richardson, Albert (Brenda) Mullen, David (Judy) Mullen and Audrey Mullen. Predeceased by his father Robert Lorne and mother Hazel Ruth, his brother Robert (Rhea), his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Robert Mullen, Phyllis (Gerald) Wilhelm, Maxine (William) Poechman, William (Carol) Mullen, and James Mullen. Dave will be remembered for his love of family, all animals, his proficient guitar playing, his love of jazz, and travel, especially his beloved New York City.

Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home at 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with prayers at 4:45pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street, London on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Private interment at a later date.  Donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice or the Humane Society London Middlesex would be appreciated.
