Jan and I worked together at The Girl’s Group Home in the mid 70’s. We each had 3 children and I knew Josh, Sean and Meagan as babies and toddlers. We shared birthday parties and trips to the beach together and Jan and Dave looked after our kids as the next one was being born. We lived in the country, they lived in the city and as our lives got busier we simply drifted apart. It wasn’t until Dave began hiking with my husband John’s hiking group a number of years ago that we reunited. That’s when the missing years were filled in with the amazing stories of the life her and her family lived. The stories and pictures on What’s App have filled my heart and soul with deep gratitude for creating the bridge between the past and present. To have reunited when we did is a blessing and also a deep loss. Dear Dave, Josh, Sean, Meagan and those who I have not met but have only heard about, may the waves of grief that shelter your love be held gently in the Mystery that Jan believed in. And may you all be nourished at this tender time with the Beauty of Love that surrounds you. Much love, Anne

My condolences on the loss of your beautiful Wife, Mom and Grandma. You may be wondering who I am. I have to go back many, many years to when your family was making the move from your house on Central Ave to Waterloo Street. I babysat Sean and Joshua that summer so you could focus on the move. I think the boys were 2 and about 6 weeks old. I must tell you that to this day when I drive by the Waterloo Street house, I still think of your family and the wonderful summer I had looking after them. Again, I'm so sorry for your loss and I hope that your wonderful memories and the love in your heart will continue to make you smile when you think of her.
