Peacefully at LHSC Victoria Hospital, on Thursday, July 10, 2025, John Michael Wraight, in his 83rd year. Loving husband of 62 years of Wilma (nee Ash) Wraight. Proud father of Sean (Maureen) Wraight, Angela (Scott) Cockburn, Michael (Jodie) Wraight and Bridget Wraight. Adored grandpa of Kayla (Sebastian), Jack (Meredith), Jenna, Liam, Lucas, Haley, and Max. Dear brother of Mary Jane (late James ) Keaney and Ann (late Murray) Tillapaugh. Cherished cousin of Patricia Munro. John will be fondly remembered by his many cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Mary Wraight.
John started a career with the Ontario Water Resources Commission and would retire from the Ministry of Environment and Ontario Clean Water Agency and later, Heath Consultants (HETEK) in London. John was also very proud of his work as a Volunteer Firefighter in Exeter for several years. John also volunteered for the Special Olympics, St. Justin’s, St. John the Divine and Holy Family Catholic Churches. John had a very good sense of humour and his friendly demeanour was appreciated by all who knew him. Special thanks to his care workers at the Glendale Retirement Village.
Visitors will be received at Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street, on Tuesday morning, July 15 from 10 o'clock until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock.
