Antero Borges De Medeiros, at the age of 80 years old, passed away peacefully in his sleep at LHSC Victoria Hospital on the morning of Tuesday, July 1st 2025. A man of quiet strength and deep kindness, he rests now in peace, held in the hearts of those who loved him.  Beloved husband of the late Judith De Medeiros.  Proud father of Louisa (Tony) Pileggi, Zenalia (Carlo) Vetere, Sandra (Paulo) Salgado, Susan (David) Ayres, and Tammy (Carlos) Teixeira.  Cherished avô of Kayla, Andrea, Amanda, Hannah, Maria, Roman, late Dante, Zachary and Morgan. 

Dear brother of Martin (Connie), Fatima (Louis), Joe (Mary), Geraldina (Joe) and Oliver (Yaima).  Dear brother-in-law of Hilda, Isaltina and Ernesto. Uncle Antero will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and godchildren.  Predeceased by his parents Manuel and Maria do Carmo De Medeiros, his brother Manuel (Maria Eduarda) and his brothers in law and sisters in law Odilia, Maria de Luz (Virgilo), Diniz (Georgina), Conceicao (Ernesto), Jose, and Anibal. 

Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Sunday, July 6, from 2-5 o'clock. Prayers will be held at 4:30 pm.  Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Church, 10 Elm Street, on Monday morning. July 7 at 11 o'clock.  Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter's Cemetery.  Donations to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.
