Obituary of Rocco Tramutola
Rocco Tramutola, born on July 23, 1939, in Potenza, Italy and left for his eternal home on June 23rd, three weeks after suffering a stroke.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Maria, and his three children- Rita, Geri and Michael and three grandchildren- Daniel, Mia and Niko.
Rocco and Maria arrived in Canada in 1965, with no savings and few belongings, but through their hard work and perseverance, built a very comfortable life for the family, and created a solid foundation for their children and grandchildren.
Rocco and Maria have been devoted members of the congregation of St. Mary's Church since 1965.
Rocco was a kind and dedicated father and husband, and will be remembered for always having a smile on his face and a willingness to talk with anybody and everybody. He will be dearly missed by his family, and we will be forever grateful for his sacrifices and unfaltering commitment.
Family and friends will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday July 4, 2025, from 6-9 pm. Prayers at 7pm.
Funeral Mass will be held at St Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street, on Saturday morning, July 5, at 10 am. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter's Cemetery.
