Obituary of Ramendra Kumar Das

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Ramendra Kumar Das, who breathed his last in peace, surrounded by family, at the University Hospital in London, ON, on June 21, 2025. Mr. Das was the beloved husband of Ms. Anita, with whom he shared 53 beautiful years. He was a proud and devoted father to Tushar, Anuradha, and Tuhin; a loving father-in-law to Susmita, Sushanta, and Nondini; and an inspirational grandfather to Prapti, Priyanti, Tridib, Prohor, Sarita, and Parnika. Born in Sylhet, Bangladesh, Mr. Das was the son of the late Dr. Rabindra and the late Ms. Pratibha. He is lovingly remembered by his family and friends from around the world including Canada, USA, India, and Bangladesh. Mr. Das pursued a profound career in Education inspiring thousands of students in Bangladesh. He never compromised with his integrity and ethical values. After accomplishing a successful career, he retired as the vice principal of Moinuddin women's college in Sylhet. His memory will be fondly remembered by the many colleagues and students whose lives he touched. The family is grateful to the health care teams at Ontario Health Care for the care and comfort they provided in his final months. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ms. Cindy Beckett, Dr. Elena Matusa, Ms. Faith, Mr. Reynante Trinidad, Mr. Aaron Lee, Ms. Mary-Anne, Mr. Tunde, and a few others for their wholehearted support, which felt just like that of family. Visitors were received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Tuesday, June 24 from 1 PM to 3 PM. Cremation ceremony followed the visitation at Woodland Crematorium. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada in memory of Mr. Das would be appreciated.
