Obituary of Valentino Pittaro

Unexpectedly at LHSC - Victoria Hospital on May 29th, 2025, Valentino (Tino) Pittaro at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Stephany (née Cassin) for 64 years. Adored father of Lori Pittaro (Byron Crouch). Predeceased by his parents Sante and Sara Pittaro, his sister Caterina Avoledo (2013), and brothers Raffaele Pittaro (1937), and Raffaele (Ralph) Pittaro (2014). He will be missed by his nephews Bernard, Patrick, Christian, Robert and Scott. 

Tino left his home in Arzene, Italy at 17 and went to Switzerland where he worked on farms to help support his family.  In 1955 Tino emigrated to Canada and settled in London, Ontario.  His first job was working on the construction of highway 401, and he subsequently became a tradesman as a tile and marble setter for over 40 years.

Tino played soccer for many years in both Canada and Europe, and loved cheering for his team Udinese.  He also enjoyed five-pin bowling for many years.  Tino's passion was his garden where he loved to spend time watching the fruits of his labour grow.

As per Tino's wishes, a private funeral service has taken place with interment in St. Peter's Cemetery.
