Today is a sad day as we remember a cool student I had the pleasure of working with at Central Secondary School. Johnnie was certainly a handful, but he was well-liked by both staff and students alike. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a kind heart. Johnnie also did a good job in his co-op class at Masonville Mall. We are deeply saddened to hear of his passing. Safe travels, Johnnie; you left us too soon. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and neighbors.
The photo was taken on my Retirement Day, 10 years ago. I ran into Johnnie on the street near WINKS. We had a lovely visit and some nice conversation. I felt like I had just received a very special Retirement gift, like no other. Our meeting was definitely meant to be. (MM)
