Holmes, Constance 'Connie' Wava, 83, of London, Ontario passed away peacefully at McGarrell Place Long Term Care on Friday, May 9, 2025.  Connie was born in Petrolia, Ontario on July 26th, 1941.  She was loving wife of the late Robert 'Bob' Holmes and is survived by her daughter Shannon P. Holmes.  She was daughter of late Isobel and Simon Malette and Robert McAuley, and sister of Steven McAuley, Claude Malette and Brian Malette.

Connie began her career in the London-Middlesex courthouse, holding many different jobs. She spent a few years as a Special Advisor to the Attorney General in Toronto. She ran the Southwest Branch of the Landlord and Tenant Board when it was formed.  In the 'retirement' years, she served as the community adjudicator for the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. She enjoyed her garden and being a Master Gardener, her bridge groups, Ruth's Readers book club, Daughters of the Nile and the Red Hats.

Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday, July 25th from 2-4 o'clock, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday morning, July 26th at 11 o'clock. Family and friends are also invited to join a Celebration of Life following the funeral service at Chris Bird's home in honor of her wishes  (Address of Celebration of Life: 13 Elmwood Place, London, Ontario).  In memory of Connie, donations to Youth Opportunities Unlimited (www.you.ca) or Humane Society of London Middlesex (www.hslm.ca) would be appreciated.
