Obituary of Henry Stephen Masek

Henry passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Bev of 48 years. Incredible dad of Rhonda (Colin), Sonya (Johnny), Jason and Tanya. Cherished papa of Grant, Ellen, Danica, Lynden, Alyssa, Alex, Alexis, and Christian. Will be missed by his siblings June (Gary), Anne (Andy), Mike (Ann), Wayne (Ruth) and sister-in-law Marion.  Predeceased by his parents Stephen and Beatrice Masek and brother Bill. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Henry worked many years with the Canada Post Corporation in Ottawa, London, and Toronto.  He was an amazing leader and mentor and was loved by all that met him.  In his retirement he continued his work with Canada Post Heritage Club retirees.  He spent many years as the Chief Elf for the Santa Letter Campaign insuring that children all over the world received their letters from Santa.  He lived a life of service and did not expect anything in return. The true definition of kindness. If you were lucky enough to have met him, you are better for it. 

Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Sunday, Apil 27, from 4pm-6pm, where the funeral service will be held on Monday morning, April 28 at 11am. Interment to follow in Woodland Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Henry may be made to the Baker Centre for Pancreatic Cancer c/o  London Heath Sciences Foundation (www.lhsf.ca) would be appreciated.
