Obituary of Margaret Mary Verhoeven
Margaret Verhoeven (nee Buren) passed peacefully at Strathmere Lodge on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, in her 88th year. Loving wife of the late Eduard Verhoeven. Loving mother of Andy (Linda) Verhoeven, Perry (Christine) Verhoeven, Carol (Rod) Black, Anita (Doug) Searle, and Edward (Beatriz) Verhoeven. Proud Oma of Tarren, Alysha, Daniel, Madison, Rachel, Mackenzie, Nicholas, Karlee, Sadie, Nathan, Jacob (2016), Tess, Claire, Maria Jose, and Martina. Great Oma of Dallas, Rylen, Layla, and Brycen. Dear sister of Joyce, Dora (Lambert) and Trudy. Sister-in-law of Pat, Marlies, Irene, Ena, Jan, Cathy, Mary Lou, and Maggie. Margaret touched many lives with her loving and generous spirit. Everyone gravitated to her happy, engaging nature and laughter. We know that Margaret’s passion for volunteering and charity work was appreciated. A special thank you to all the staff of Strathmere Lodge for their love and care in her final years. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday, April 29, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. with prayers at 3:45.pm and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. George Parish, 1164 Commissioners Road West in Byron on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
