Obituary of Michael Robert Gonsalves

Michael Gonsalves 

Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on March 5, 2022, at the age of 64 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mickey is survived by his loving wife, Shelly (Shaha) of 18 years and many sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mickey started his career with Bangladesh Flag Ocean Carrier, and after emigrating to Canada in 1992, he joined Darlow Enterprises as a press operator. He was always a conscientious and dedicated worker.

Mickey loved gardening, carpentry, cooking, and especially entertaining people. He was a gentle and caring man who will be truly missed by those who knew him.

Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday, March 18, 2022, from 3-5 and 6-8 o’clock. Prayer Service at 4:45. A Funeral Mass will be at St. Justin’s Church, 855 Jalna Blvd, on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 1 o’clock followed by internment at St. Peter’s Cemetery, 806 Victoria Street.
