Obituary of Carmela Emilia Liberatore

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our precious mother Carmela Emilia Liberatore on February 15, 2022, at Queensway Carleton Hospital, Ottawa, Ontario at the age of 84. Born and married in Pratola Peligna, Italy.  Beloved wife of the late Ginaldo Liberatore (2008). Predeceased by her parents Domenico Colaiacovo and Anna Notarandrea, her sisters Luciana Mastrogiuseppe and Olga Di Virgilio, and brother in-law Gabriele Di Virgilio.  Carmela will be greatly missed by her loving son Aldo (Michele), daughter Linda (Stephen), grandchildren Alexander, Morgan and Angelina, brother in-law Antonio Mastrogiuseppe, many cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.  We would like to thank family, friends and Health Care Professionals who have cared for our mother Carmela.  Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street on Friday, March 11, from 3-5 pm, prayers at 4:30, and 6-8 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 345 Lyle Street on Saturday, March 12, at 10:30 am. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum at St. Peter’s Cemetery will follow. In memory of Carmela, flowers sent to the Donohue Funeral Home or donations to The Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.  Online condolences and sharing of memories may be made at donohuefuneralhome.ca.
