It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ken Lawlis, born in Amos, Quebec, of London, Ontario, in his 85th year, on January 16th, 2022. A dear brother to Rena Brooks (late Trevor), Mary Ann Brewer (1988) (late Alan), Jeanette Steiner (2015) (Glen) and Gerald Lawlis (2019) (Colette). Uncle to several nieces and nephews. Ken had a distinguished career as a Military Policeman serving in Quebec, Great Whale River and Germany. Ken was a deeply religious man. a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a secular Franciscan. He enjoyed golf, boxing, Jim Reeves music, was a connoisseur of fine cheddar cheese and had a good sense of humour. Ken had assembled the badges of all Canadian regiments, which remains on display at the Dorchester Legion in Dorchester, Ontario. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael John Borrie and the staff of 2 Perth at Veterans Wing of Parkwood Institute. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 1 Fallons Lane, on Thursday morning, January 20th at 11 o'clock. Registration is required.
