Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Van Sickle

Thank you, John Donohue Van Sickle, Elizabeth Ann Peacefully on Monday, September 25th, 2017 at LHSC, Victoria Hospital, at the rising of the sun; Ann passed. Ann was the loving daughter of the late Leo and Mary Katherine (Duggan) Van Sickle. Ann is survived by her siblings: John and Sheila Van Sickle, Peter and Coral Van Sickle, Monica Van Sickle-Hill and the late Gordon. Martha and Brian Tracey, Vincent Van Sickle and the late Christine Pawliuk, Rita and Michael Petz and Bridget Van Sickle-Wood. Ann was predeceased by her brother Dennis and her sister Mary Katherine Ray. Ann is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews along with cousins by the dozens. Ann is remembered with love by her loving Aunt, Clare MacLean (Duggan). Ann was a graduate of Fanshawe College. Throughout her life she worked diligently to improve the lives of the disabled community, both here in London and at Red Deer Community College. She was an inspiration to all and her strong willing spirit will be her legacy. We thank Cheshire London for the outstanding care provided to Ann throughout the years. Ann’s caregivers were nothing short of amazing. The family also thanks Dr. Maggie Turnbull and nurse Chris for their compassion and care of Ann in her final hours. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday evening, September 29th from 7-9 o’clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Divine Church, 390 Baseline Road West, on Saturday morning, September 30th at 10 o’clock. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Donations in Ann’s memory may be made at Golden Opportunity Assistant Dogs, 1413 Helena Montague Avenue, London, Ontario N6K 1Z3
