Obituary of Concetta Massarotti

Massarotti, Concetta Peacefully at Country Terrace Nursing Home with family by her side on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 Concetta Massarotti (nee Griffa) in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Michele Massarotti. Affectionately known to all as "Zizi". Loving Zia of the late Dominic Carapella (Donna), Joe Carapella (Lyn), Mario Carapella (Tina), Domenic Griffa (Milva). Great zia to Adam (Laura), Matthew, Jake, Olivia, Joseph (Shirley), Alexander and Andrew. Great great zia to Victoria and Marcus. Predeceased by her parents Domenico and Rosaria Griffa, her siblings Giuseppe (Maria), and Anna (Antonio). Zizi was like a 2nd mother to us. She was an excellent cook and took great pride in feeding all her family and friends. A heartfelt thank you to Febian Nifras for taking great care of Zizi for the past 4 years and Country Terrace Nursing Home for the compassionate care she received during the short time she resided there. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Wednesday from 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. John the Divine Church, 390 Baseline Road West, on Thursday morning at 11 o'clock. Entombment at Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Wednesday evening at 6:45. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
